Çengelköy-born roaster, now six Istanbul shops and a wholesale arm.

It started in Çengelköy in 2019 and has since opened at Torun Center, Bomonti, and Astoria in Şişli, and in Kayaşehir and Bahçeşehir.

Filter coffees range from El Salvador El Cerro to Ethiopia Bombe Qonqana, with limited seasonal lots alongside, and the online shop sells Turkish coffee and brewing equipment. Newtown also offers wholesale supply and franchising.

At this shop

A raised terrace, reached by steps from the pavement, sits behind a green awning at this corner shop on Gökkuşağı Sokak in Şişli, looking onto a road junction. Inside, a cream plaster wall of arched and circular niches behind the counter holds brewing gear and packaged coffee, where a barista works the espresso machine under a long oval neon light.
