About

Osman Hamdi Bey ran the museum from 1881 and dug up its best-known piece, the Alexander Sarcophagus, at Sidon. Its three buildings hold nearly a million artefacts, including the Tiled Kiosk's Ottoman and Seljuk ceramics.
